Rowan
The idea for the Rowan guitar came from a discussion with Peter Rowan , the bluegrass singer/guitarist.
A smaller bodied guitar, easy to hold and play with a 12 fret neck/body join. This puts the bridge in the middle of the lower bout, regarded many as the best place for tone and projection. Peters idea was to have the deepest part of the body to be directly under the bridge, also to aid projection.
The Rowan has a good balance string to string, is a very powerful finger picker, a good flat picker good for blues or classical pieces.
The standard Rowan can come with Spruce sound board instead of Cedar
and Maple/Walnut/Indian Rosewood back & sides instead of Mahogany.
