 Roundback
The bracing on the front was re-designed to fit around the cats eyes sound-holes. Using an elongated X Brace with a transverse bar above the bridge, and fan-strutting below the bridge, the front was designed to give an even response.

The back was built around a former in "lute" fashion. The shape of the back along with the multiple-rib construction gives its own strength; this means that the individual ribs may be much thinner, thus reducing weight and enhancing bass response.

The instrument is very light-weight, balancing well between neck / head weight and body weight. It has a very even response string-to-string and from low to high register.
