Finally, the new workshop is up and running. Apologies to those whose instruments have been delayed by the move, and a huge thanks to those helped me get there - I won't name you all for fear of forgetting someone but I couldn't have done it alone.

The new space certainly makes things easier, not to mention cutting my commute time to just a few minutes!

Well, it's nice to be back. Due to circumstsnces beyond my control this website has been off the air for most of last year, mainly due to the fact that I'm a luthier not a webmaster! And a busy one at that. But with a little help from my friends I'm now back on the air again.

Over the last year I completed the eight-string electric (!), a five-string electric bass, a number of acoustic guitars, a carved-top mandolin and a mandola. Plus I finished some interesting repairs - particularly a Martin that had been in a car accident, which I built a whole new body for. There wasn't much of the original guitar left. It sounded great - I didn't want to give it back!

I also moved premises (see the contact section for details), which will eventually give me a lot more working space.
